Halloween card and a Happy new Year

its a halloween challenge on Magnolia-licious with a fab photo to inspire you:
As usual for me i took the photo literally and made a card to suit the theme:

I had seen someone silhouette their images before and stored the idea away in the recesses of my grey matter specifically for to do this silhouette for halloween when the time came, but do you think i remeber where i saw it?  If you have seen this before it is not my idea, i stole the idea, but i so still think it works really well for this theme.
I used a MS iron fence for the border around my images and a few flowers to hold the design together.
The image is  Brother and sister  Unfortunately i didnt have any halloween dp so made my own drawing spiders and webs and then made a web for the inside of my card also.

Do join us in our fortnight challenge and i look forward to seeing what you cleverly crafted people come up with.
To all my fellow Jewish peers, i would like to wish you all a Shana Tova vemetukah, A very sweet new year.

Tilda in summer rain

i really gotta say that i ummed and ahhed for quite a while before i decided what to do:
finally deciding on using  Tilda in summer rain
My dp is MME, i used my Magnolia dohh-hickey flourish which i must say is sadly not used enough, the little garlands are ones i made as i didnt have the right color to match my card.

all the flowers are from my stash, the dark turqoise ones i had to airbrush to get the color to match my project and that big Ass rhinestone i got recently in all colors, they just kinda spoke to the sparkly girl in me, lol.  The ribbon is one i bought ages ago thinking it would be great for Christmas projects, but worked for this too.

And a quick peek at the inside of my card

Faux pax, the other card

Now that you all have ahd a chance to look at my card for the Tomic challenge i thought i would post the one that i made when i got the challenge wrong, duh!
I'm not gonna go into too much detail as you can see the card is detailed enough and i am sure you all know by now that when you get me going you cant shut me up.  I will say this was a LOT of work.  I almost didnt have enough space for a patterned paper while i was doing it, had i known i was supposed to make my own background paper to start with i would have just stamped a few select flowers and perhaps some grass, but thats what you get for not paying attention.
on my first step: the back one i used:  butterfly background  and barefoot Tilda.  The butterfly background was masked and stamped twice so it would fit across the width of my card
on the middle step  i used:  Tilda with straw hat  and Spring tree
on the front step i used:  Explore Tilda  and kneeling Tilda
.
I also found a challenge that this card fits so am gonna enter into the challenge on Its a Magnolia challenge

Tomic challenge #14

time for a fab new challenge on TOMIC and this week its "Make your own background paper"
First though, i wanna share with you that i am someitmes or most times a bit dippy, i seem to get things wrong, or misinterpret things and then get it all wrong, so dippy here, when i read the dt specs for this week i just saw make your own background, so i made a triple easel that i was so pleased with, loaded long before the challenge was due.  Just as well someone on the team is on top of things and they pointed out that i had made the wrong thing for our challenge this week.  So i scuttled around like a headless chicken and came up with this instead:  i will share the card "faux par" later in the week.
For my card on the Tomic challenge this week i made my background paper using a stamp that has bubbles on it, made by a local company.  I stamped the bubbles with top boss, on white cardstock, embossed with an embossing powder that has a light shimmer to it, no name left on the bottle its really old.  I then used Adirondack die ink pad "name this color" to resist the embossed bubbles and voila!  i love my bubbly background paper.

colored my image "swimming Tilda" with copics, and found these bubbles that i bought at Hobby lobby last year and made a shaker around my image with clear micro beads in it.  I added pink dew drops around the frame of my shaker, a pearly flourish down the side of my card and some fluffy wool that to me resembled seaweed.  I added a few glass garlands into the mix of flowers and left the inside of my card pretty clean and simple, but you can really see the nice bubbly paper.

have a great week
