Its a special challenge this week as Magnolia ink is also celbrating its birthday and the team were all challenged to "recycle." I had forgotten all about this event when i recieved an email reminding me on Saturday evening. I scurried around like a chicken without a head, my first thought was to do a Jam jar that i have had on hold to alter, but Murphy's law i couldnt find it as i have already packed up half my stash in the studio for the great move.
I was lucky however to stumble upon this treasure chest that i have a few of and decided that it would be great filled with bon bons for a friends brithday next month.
The girls on the Tomic Team have done a fabulous job altering all sorts, so do come and play this week as there is loads of inspiration.
Paper: Magnolia: something old something new
Stamps: Travelling Tilda, suitcase with sign, and many miscellaneaous from my stash
Embellishments: Lock and key from stash
Flowers: WOC
all the bits and bobs from my stash too, and the lace is really old dont remember where it came from
Inks and coloring medium: copics, memento rich cocoa and vintage photo
have a great week
smiles
Paola
Oh my gosh, Paola, this is amazing! I love the chest and how you modified it! I love the texture the chest has - crocodile? Anyway, what you did to is is amazing! It's perfectly themed. Tilda is a perfect match, too! How clever of you!

Wow, Paola, how gorgeous! You've done an awesome job on this! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is really gorgeous! I love the little chest and to reuse it so beautifully at short notice just proves how very clever and crafty you are! Love the papers you chose and how you cover the ends of the chest as well. Of course the little lock and key charms are the perfect embellies! Tilda is beautifully colored and looks rather lonely sitting on the suitcase waiting for someone to pick her up. The BonBons looks yummy and what a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job as always...hugs...Barb

This Paola is so very beautiful.. Looks like a happy surprise one would find when rummaging in the attic of a grandmother with lots of old antique things.. Wow what fun that would be.. You are so amazing that your mind came up this stunning idea in such short time and with no idea at all what to do. Your trunk, lace, lock and key charms are so perfect.. the paper you used made the trunk look so old as did the newpaper.. You just thought of everything and Tilda looks so amazing sitting on her suitcase and the bon bons are so wonderful inside.. such a great idea and Your ideas are all so elegant..
